ThreeSixFive: Stand Firm on the Faith and Fight for The Truth

Today, I was pulled to read Jude. I noticed there is only 1 chapter of this book and it actually made me take it more seriously and read it to the end. This book was written by Judas, Jesus’ brother not to be confused with Judas Iscariot who is infamous for turning his back on Jesus.

The mail point of this book is to expose false teachers and to encourage believers to fight for the truth.

Doesn’t this sound like today?

Although this book was written so long ago, it is relevant today as with everything going on and what people are dealing with, we need to be reminded to FIGHT FOR THE TRUTH.

“Dear friends, I’ve dropped everything to write you about this life of salvation that we have in common. I have to write insisting—begging!—that you fight with everything you have in you for this faith entrusted to us as a gift to guard and cherish. What has happened is that some people have infiltrated our ranks (our Scriptures warned us this would happen), who beneath their pious skin are shameless scoundrels. Their design is to replace the sheer grace of our God with sheer license—which means doing away with Jesus Christ, our one and only Master.”

Jude 1:3-4 MSG

More and more do we see that specific parties and political agendas are attempting to do away with Jesus Christ and what we are supposed to stand for.

It is our jobs as Christians to not be swayed or deceived by false teachers and how do we spot a false teacher?? By reading the word for yourself .

False teachers twist the doctrine. False teachers will say that Jesus is all about unity and love when That’s only half the picture. Jesus is about love but He hates sin. Jesus is ruthless and NEVER sugar coated anything, which is why they wanted Him dead. Jesus is love, but He is not ALL about love to the point where it waters down the gospel.

This generation is all about “keeping it real” but when someone is actually keeping it real, they are offended.

Even through all that , we are encouraged in scripture to take it easy on sinners but never compromise with sin. This emphasizes that God loves us all but he Hates the sin we choose to partake in.

“Go easy on those who hesitate in the faith. Go after those who take the wrong way. Be tender with sinners, but not soft on sin. The sin itself stinks to high heaven.”

Jude 1:22-23 MSG

As we begin to see a shift in the US and it’s legislation, stay true to God’s word. The body of Christ depends on it .

I encourage you to read Jude !
